Dr. Gilbert Azuela

Gilbert is passionate about the use of sensory-based interventions to assist people in managing mental distress. His practices were adult inpatient and community mental health, forensic rehabilitation, children and young people with high, complex and changing needs, mental health needs assessment and service coordination and corrections. Gilbert obtained a bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy and a post-graduate certificate in Health Professions Education. He has a master's degree endorsed with merit in Occupational Therapy and a Doctor of Philosophy (Clinical Health Science) with a focus on the implementation and impact of sensory modulation in acute mental health care from the Auckland University of Technology. He is a current President Tangata Tiriti of the Occupational Therapy New Zealand Whakaora Ngangahau Aotearoa. Gilbert finds balance to his life by spending time with his dog, exploring nature, exercising, travelling and cooking. Gilbert offers services on consultation, assessment of motor and process skills [AMPS], sensory assessment, and supervision.

Mark Esteves

Mark is a registered occupational therapist with clinical expertise in the field of health and disability. Mark worked for forensic intellectual disability, community mental health and respite services.  Mark has strong interest on people centred needs assessment, which led him to his master’s research project where he investigated the perspectives of service coordinators from disability needs assessment and service coordination on the use of self-assessment. He has a master's degree endorsed with merit in Occupational Therapy from the Otago Polytechnic. He currently works for disability needs assessment and service coordination. In his spare time, Mark enjoys watercolour painting, playing badminton and volleyball, and travelling. Mark offers services on consultation, sensory assessment, and supervision.
